Programs - Ph.D.

 

The applicants for admission to the Ph.D programme shall be classified under any one of the following categories:

(a) University Research student/candidate (Full Time with Scholarship)

(b) Sponsored Research student/candidate fully financed by the Govt./Semi-Government Organizations like CSIR, UGC, Research Schemes, Govt./Privately funded Research/Development Organisation, Public Sector Undertaking, Educational Institution or a reputed industry etc.(Full-time).

(c) Sponsored Research student/candidate nominated by organization with MOU with the University, foreign students who apply through Ministry of Human Resource Development or under a Cultural Exchange Scholarship Programme by Government of India (Full-time).

(d) Part-time Research student/candidate (with residency requirement).

The university admits Full Time/Part-Time scholars. The areas in which the seats are available under the various departments are given below:

Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Computer Engineering Departments: Electrical Machines and Drives, Power Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics, Microwave Communication, DSP Micro Electronics Devices, VLSI / Fault-Tolerant Computing, Software Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering : Thermal Engineering, I C Engines, Turbo-machinery, Stress Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, Metal Forming and Foundry Technology, Industrial Engg., Welding Technology, CNC & Robotics, Technology Management, Flexible Manufacturing and Automation.

Civil Engineering: Structural Engg., Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engg., Water Resources Engg., Environmental Engg., Experimental Mechanics.

Applied Physics: Material Science & Superconductivity, Thin-films, Fiber optics and Optical communication and Quantum electronics, Carbon Nano Tube, Photonic Crystal.

Applied Chemistry: Polymer Science & Technology, Material Science and Polymer Composites, lon-exchange, Electro Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry.

Applied Mathematics: Graph Theory, Information Theory, Numerical Simulation, Relativistic Cosmological Models, Algebra, Approximation Theory.

Humanities: Applied Economics, Engineering Economics, Labour Market Analysis, Techno- Economics Impact of Education.

Management: Technology Management, Knowledge & Innovation Management, IPR Management, Technology Transfer Management, Supply Chain Management, Management of Information System, Total Quality Management, Productivity Management, Enterprise Management.

Biotechnology: Plant Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Medical Biotechnology, Bioprocess Biotechnology
